When selecting heavy-duty equipment, cylindrical roller bearings are an indispensable core component. Many equipment engineers often confuse the structural differences among models such as NU, NJ, and NUP when making selections, and choosing wrongly can easily cause shaft wobbling and premature failure of the bearings.

Cylindrical roller bearings rely on line contact for bearing capacity, which significantly increases the radial bearing capacity compared to ball bearings, has a lower friction coefficient, and generates less heat. They are suitable for high-speed and heavy-duty working conditions. The characteristics of different structural models are as follows:
 NU type: The outer ring has flanges, while the inner ring does not. The inner ring can move axially to compensate for the thermal elongation of the shaft;
 NJ type: The inner ring has a single side flange, capable of bearing unidirectional axial positioning;
 NUP type: The inner ring has a single side flange and a detachable flange, achieving bidirectional axial positioning.
